Jon Wikstrom - Executive Coach, Facilitator

Overview and Background: Executive coach and facilitator Jon Wikstrom brings to bear an unconventional and multi-faceted 30-year track record as a business executive, manager and artist in the service of his clients. Jon’s fascination with human dynamics, leadership behavior and team development in the workplace led his evolution into coaching and facilitation.
Specific Experience: Prior to entering coaching, Jon was CEO of a healthcare IT company that built and launched a self-testing medical Web platform and nationwide physician network, and then partnered with the largest laboratory company in the US for a national product rollout. Before that, Jon worked as a division Director for a corporate grassroots public affairs lobbying firm in Washington, D.C. serving Fortune 500 companies. He also worked for years in the financial services industry as a public equity analyst primarily following the pharmaceutical industry, and later as a private equity/venture capital investment manager with a focus on healthcare IT.
Jon’s first vocational love was as a songwriter, singer and guitar player. He spent ten years in Nashville writing songs and performing full-time while also starting two publishing companies, garnering a songwriter publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music and an artist deal for himself with Taylor Guitars. He co-produced a major label album release for Giant/Warner Brothers Records for which he co-wrote the title track, and he later released his first solo CD Reckless Devotion, available on Pandora, Apple Music and Spotify.
Philosophy of learning/facilitation/coaching: Jon’s coaching focus is helping clients align their work and personal lives with their most closely held values and aspirations. He is a believer in life-long learning and mindful daily practice in the service of personal growth.
Education/Credentials/Personal: Jon is a graduate of Duke University. He is a Newfield Network-certified Ontological Coach (NCC) and is also certified by the International Coach Federation as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC).He also has advanced training from Massachusetts General Hospital Psychiatry Academy in Differential Diagnosis, Treatment and Rehabilitation of Mild Traumatic Brain Injury.
Jon works with private clients and serves government clients through a range of OPM leadership-training programs, serving agencies such as the Federal Intelligence Community, the Dept. of The Army and the FDA.
He is experienced with 360 Leadership Assessment, DiSC Personality Profile Assessment, Four Lenses Insight Personality Instrument, Leadership Potential Assessment and Thomas Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument.
Jon lives near Baltimore with his wife Katherine, son Jackson and daughter Olivia.
